- Paul Pierce just got called for his fifth foul trying to fight for post position against Ron Artest, then Rasheed Wallace gets hit with a foul despite having his arms straight up. The wrath of Bill Kennedy strikes again.
- Glen Davis scores in the post on Lamar Odom, which really should never happen if you're Lamar Odom.
- This is where the whole chicken/egg question comes into play with the Lakers' offense. Did Pau Gasol shoot that weak fadeaway because he was out of the flow of the offense, or did Kobe take the Lakers out of the offensive flow because he sensed Gasol was out of it? We'll never know.
- Rajon Rondo just went coast to coast for a layup, and the Celtics are down just one. He's just so amazing to watch. I know, I'm treading into Bill Simmons territory here, but Rondo really is incredibly high on the individual Watchability Scale. As great as Chris Paul is - Rondo's way more fun to watch. Paul tends to walk the ball up the court and pick you apart there, but Rondo is always going fast. I know CP3 is better, but I'd rather watch Rondo every time.
- Apparently, Nate Robinson decided it was better to get Tom Brady into this game than listening to his team's huddle. At least Nate knows his role.
- Tony Allen forces Kobe into an impossible shot, which misses. Allen has his problems, especially offensively, but he has become an absolutely incredible defensive player. He's a free agent, and some team will get a real bargain if they make him a priority this summer. He can play.
- Mark Jackson just called Rasheed Wallace a "knockdown shooter," which is kind of like calling Mark Jackson an "NBA Expert."
- Miss a layup you should make? Wondering what could have happened to that shot? Don't worry, you can call an NBA referee today, and have your missed shot turn into two foul shots for the low price of $19.95!
- As good as both defense have been tonight, we've seen some pretty brutal offense on both ends. Oh, and there's also the officiating. The damn officiating. So even though this game will go down to the wire, it's hard for me to say it's been a particularly great game. Close and ugly is nice, but close and well-played would be better.
