Your Tweet Could Be On Stewart Cink’s Golf Bag

↵↵I don’t know if any of you readers keep tabs on golfer Stewart Cink on Twitter, but given that he has 1.2 million followers, there exists a better-than-okay chance that more than a few of you do. Last year’s British Open champion is incorporating the microblogging service in his quest to repeat at St. Andrews this weekend. By that, I don’t mean that he’ll simply be Tweeting on location, as that’s a given, but that he has written motivational Tweets from followers onto his bag.↵

↵↵This was hardly spontaneous. One of his main sponsors, Nike, entreated followers to send him inspirational messages. Of the hundreds who did, a few of them were selected to be written on the golf bag provided to him by the company for the tournament. Nike said it was going to ask Cink to choose a winner out of that group to receive one of the bags that every staff player will receive from the company. ↵

↵↵Looks like Cink already has one singled out.↵

↵↵⇥Love every message on there but the one I picked as my favorite: @supaman212 guide yourself with grace, and glory and greatness will come.↵↵↵As of this writing, Cink appears likely to make the cut, but he’s 11 strokes off the lead and tied for 52nd. It’s gonna take all the inspiration he can get for a repeat title.↵
