Thierry Henry: “I Want To Come Back To Arsenal”

The newest member of the New York Red Bulls has said he wants to eventually return to Arsenal.

Thierry Henry, who confirmed his signing in Major League Soccer last week, told BBC Radio that when his playing days are done, he wants to return in some capacity to the London-based club where he made his name:

“When I retire, I don’t know how, I want to come back to Arsenal,” he told BBC Radio 5 live’s Sportsweek.

“I have just come to New York to play and to compete and win another title,” added Henry, who left Arsenal in 2007 for Barcelona.

“After everything is done then I will think about it. But whatever it is, I want to come back to Arsenal - maybe as a water boy - I just love this club.”

Henry is Arsenal’s all-time leading goal scorer, accumulating 226 goals for the club. He left the team in the summer of 2007 to join Barcelona.
