Huston Street Hospitalized After Being Hit By Batting Practice Line Drive

Rockies pitcher Huston Street was taken off the field in a stretcher after being struck in the groin by a line drive hit by Ian Stewart during batting practice prior to Tuesday night's game against the Pirates.

Street was in right field playing catch when he was struck. Rockies trainer Keith Dugger told MLB.com’s Thomas Harding that Street fainted two or three times from the pain. Street was loaded into an ambulance and taken to Rose Medical Center in Denver.

Updates on his condition will be reported when they become available.
