Knicks fans have had very few reasons to exclaim in joy over the last few years so don’t mind them if they completely lose it over the impending signing of Amar’e Stoudemire. They have their first superstar in a long time, and perhaps the first of more to come. Knicks blog Posting And Toasting has some initial thoughts and they are exclamatory.

Some initial thoughts:
- Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god.
- The Knicks are the first team to reel in a maximum-contract free agent from another team. I don’t think Donnie Walsh would make such a commitment if he didn’t believe it would attract other commitments, but only time will tell.
- With D’Antoni at the helm and Amar’e at the 4, it seems reasonable to expect the Knicks to make a move for D’Or Fisher.
