Strasburg Roughed Up In Return From DL

Stephen Strasburg was bound to have a full-on ugly outing at some point and that time has come. In his first start following his stint on the disabled list for inflammation in his pitching shoulder, Strasburg gave up six earned runs in four and a third innings of work.

Dan Uggla got the Marlins on the board early with a two-run homer off Strasburg in the the top of the 1st inning. The four strikeouts by the Nationals phenom marks the lowest total of any outing in his career. It’s also the first time he’s given up more than three runs in any appearance in the Majors.
