San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman will report to training camp this weekend and sign a one-year, $3.269 million tender offer, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, citing unnamed sources.

With Merriman's arrival, the Chargers will have all hands on deck, except for their two potential long-term holdouts, tackle Marcus McNeill and wide receiver Vincent Jackson, who are both seeking contract extensions.
Merriman, however, was less than thrilled with some of the reporting being done. As soon as the news broke, he took to his Twitter account to specify just where exactly the information was coming from.
All reports of me reporting to camp this weekend would come from the team "San Diego Chargers" not "sources"
