2010 PGA Championship: Getting On The Right Side Of The Draw
As darkness is close to setting in at Whistling Straits, it is becoming clear which part of the draw was the right one. The players that went out late on Thursday and (relatively) early today are the lucky ones.
With wind and some weather moving in the area later in the day, conditions at the close of the day have remained whippy. As a result, 10 of the top 12 players in the field are done for the day - and most of tomorrow.
Few golfers still on the course have momentum in their rounds. Then again, Phil Mickelson had hardly anything going consistently today and he turned in 69, saving his chances for the weekend. Meanwhile, Tiger Woods is playing well enough to miss the cut but has had Mickelsonian escape skills in the waning moments of Friday at the PGA Championship.
