The announcers on the Monday Night Football broadcast had a few interesting tidbits about his night.
First, Cruz’s three touchdown receptions are the most in one preseason game since Terrell Owens in 1998 while with the 49ers.
Second, Cruz’s six catches for 145 yards are nearly identical to then-rookie WR Hakeem Nicks’ six catches for 144 yards against the Jets in preseason last year.
It’s a big night for someone most haven’t even heard of.
