MLB Draft Deadline: Rockies Sign Kyle Parker

We’re nearly an hour past the signing deadline and I’m still getting caught up. Another team to sign its first round pick at the last minute: the Colorado Rockies, with Kyle Parker.

Interestingly, as reported by Troy Renck, Parker - who is a quarterback at Clemson - will be allowed to continue playing football for the time being. He will presumably begin his work for the Rockies after the football season is over.
