MLB Draft Deadline: Diamondbacks Fail To Sign Barret Loux

It should come as little surprise to those familiar with the backstory, but the deadline went by and the Diamondbacks did not sign Barret Loux to a contract. Loux - the sixth overall pick in the June draft - is dealing with a number of physical maladies that deterred the Diamondbacks from making an investment.

As compensation, Arizona will receive the seventh overall pick in next year’s draft.
