Blackburn Rovers are moving closer to a sale to Indian businessman Ahsan Ali Syed, according to reports this morning.

Blackburn and their perspective buyer have entered into a memorandum of understanding prescribing a four-week negotiating window. Syed has said he hopes to get the sale done within two weeks to allow club manager Sam Allardyce to bolster his squad before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
Syed, owner of Western Gulf Advisory (a financial and legal consultancy), said he anticipated investing between £80 and £100 million in players.
Blackburn released a statement through its website confirming negotiations, calling the process is “ongoing.”
Blackburn won its opening match in teh English Premier League, defeating Everton 1-0 on Saturday.
