Rod Barajas Claimed Off Waivers By Dodgers, Mets Get Cash In Return

Rod Barajas will don Dodger blue for the rest of 2010.

The Dodgers have acquired the 35-year-old catcher from the Mets for cash after claiming him off waivers. Barajas has struggled this season, posting just a .263 on-base percentage in 267 at-bats, but should compete for a starting job with the Dodgers, who lost Russell Martin for the season earlier this month.

The Mets promoted Jesus Feliciano from AAA to take Barajas' roster spot.
