Demian Maia v. Nate Marquardt Rematch Planned For UFN 22?

The Ultimate Fight Night 22 website has been updated to reflect that a rematch between Nate Marquardt and Demian Maia has been moved to the main event of the show after Maia’s original opponent, Alan Belcher, was injured.

In their first meeting Nate landed a punch that knocked Maia out only 21 seconds after the opening bell. It was a highly anticipated bout which ended with shocking quickness. The rematch will move one man close to getting another crack at the 185 pound title, which both failed to wrest from the hands of champion Anderson Silva.
