With former teammate Emmitt Smith being inducted this weekend into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Michael Irvin will no doubt be on hand to congratulate the last member the ‘90s Cowboys “Big 3” to be enshrined in Canton. Per custom, Irvin will likely be dressed in the yellow blazer he was given when he entered the Hall in 2007.
Let’s Hope Michael Irvin Washes His HOF Jacket Before Saturday
↵For the sake of the moment, let’s hope he’s taken the jacket to the cleaners since he first got it. Irvin recently made this unsettling admission to the Chicago Tribune about his post-induction exploits:
↵↵“I remember when I was inducted into the Hall of Fame and they gave me my Hall of Fame yellow blazer. I wore it for two straight days. Finally my wife was in bed and said she wanted to make love but that I had to take the coat off. I refused and kept the blazer on because I wanted to perform like a Hall of Famer on the field and off.”
↵↵I guess that means he got away with pushing off in bed, too?
↵Yes, I’m making a mental note to wear out the jacket I’ll receive from The Pro Insult Comic Hall of Zings
