The Yankees have scratched Alex Rodriguez from Saturday’s game against the Red Sox following the leg injury he sustained during batting practice, reports Staten Island Live.

A-Rod has been diagnosed with a left leg contusion -- in other words, a bruise. X-rays have not yet been performed. Hopefully for the Yankees, A-Rod can get back on the field quickly, as they’re in the midst of a four-game series with a Red Sox team that has a chance to narrow the gap in the A.L. East.
