UFC 117 Results - Clay Guida Submits Rafael Dos Anjos

One of the most popular fighters in the UFC, Clay Guida, managed to defeat the dangerous Brazilian Rafael Dos Anjos.

In the first round Guida broke Rafael’s jaw in a punching exchange. Dos Anjos went to the corner after the round, which he dominated, and told his corner he was injured but continued on. Dos Anjos continued to win the striking exchanges early in the second round but Guida was able to get a takedown and work some ground and pound. In the third it was Guida who was able to get yet another takedown, this time he was able to press Rafael’s head into the cage and press his shoulder into the injured jaw and force the submission.
