Prior to Saturday afternoon's Red Sox-Yankees game, Alex Rodriguez suffered an injury during batting practice. Joel Sherman of the New York Post tweets:

His status for Saturday’s game is uncertain, as is the extent of his injury. We’ll update this StoryStream once we learn more.
Rodriguez is having a bit of an off-year in 2010, but losing him for any amount of time would still be a significant blow for a Yankees team that, despite a .620 winning percentage, still has the Rays and Red Sox in close pursuit.
