Jim Edmonds To Get Immediate Playing Time With Reds
Phillips 2b, Nix lf Votto 1b, Rolen 3b, Edmonds cf, Bruce rf, Hernandez c Janish ss, Leake p. vs. Chris Carpenter
The newly-acquired Jim Edmonds will, at least for one day, bat fifth and play center field in place of Drew Stubbs. Chris Carpenter is a righty and Edmonds is left-handed, giving Cincinnati the platoon advantage.
