Jeff Gordon Adds To Family With Baby Boy

Jeff Gordon is a proud father again after wife Ingrid gave birth to the couple’s first son on Monday.

↵Leo Benjamin Gordon was born at 8:53 this morning, which in some eyes started the countdown clock to when the young Gordon will hop in a go-kart for the first time.

↵After all, there’s apparently some sort of pressure and expectations for sons of champion race car drivers (see: Earnhardt Jr., Dale; Petty, Kyle).

↵We can’t help but wonder whether Las Vegas is taking bets on which newborn will win a NASCAR championship first: Gordon’s son or Jimmie Johnson’s daughter?

↵In the meantime, Gordon said in a statement that Leo “is happy and healthy, and Mom is doing great.” The driver is expected to compete in all track activities at Michigan this weekend.

↵The couple also has a 3-year-old daughter named Ella.
