On Saturday, Kevin Durant came up huge for Team USA yet again, scoring 38 points to help hold off Lithuania, 89-74, in the FIBA World Championship semifinal.

24 of Durant’s 38 points came in the first half. He shot 14-for-26 while also chipping in nine rebounds and three assists. Lamar Odom led the team with 10 rebounds and added 13 points of his own.
After looking up at a 42-27 halftime deficit, Lithuania managed to crawl within ten points of Team USA’s lead thanks in part to Robertas Javtokas’s 15 points. and nine rebounds.
The defensive play of the game may have been made by USA’s Russell Westbrook, who managed to block Lithuania out of a pair of fast-break points:
Team USA will now move on to play the winner of Saturday’s Serbia-Turkey semifinal. The FIBA World Championship final will be played on Sunday.
