A Kansas squad fresh off a humiliating Week 1 loss to North Dakota State beat No. 15 Georgia Tech in Lawrence, 28-25.

    Kansas Vs. Georgia Tech: Jackets Fall To Earth, 28-25

    Lawrence, KS (Sports Network) - Jordan Webb threw for three touchdowns and Kansas’ defense thwarted a final Georgia Tech drive, as the Jayhawks upended the 15th-ranked Yellow Jackets, 28-25, to bounce back from a shocking defeat.

    The Jayhawks (1-1), under the guidance of new head coach Turner Gill, began the campaign with an ugly 6-3 loss to North Dakota State last weekend. This time, though, they were able to snap an eight-game losing streak going back to last year.

    Georgia Tech Vs. Kansas: Josh Nesbitt Is Passing. It’s A World Gone Mad.

    Right as we were gearing up to talk about how Josh Nesbitt is going to have to learn to pass the football one of these days, the kid goes and constructs a scoring drive from the Jackets’ 5-yard line that began with a 45-yard pass to Embry Peeples to open things up and concluded with a 40-yard touchdown pass to Stephen Hill. Oh, and a two-point conversion pass to Hill, just to make things interesting. (To be fair, this was, in fact, the very last thing anybody watching, playing, or coaching would’ve expected Nesbitt to attempt, much less pull off). The Jayhawks’ lead is cut to 28-25 with 7:48 remaining in the game.
