Right as we were gearing up to talk about how Josh Nesbitt is going to have to learn to pass the football one of these days, the kid goes and constructs a scoring drive from the Jackets’ 5-yard line that began with a 45-yard pass to Embry Peeples to open things up and concluded with a 40-yard touchdown pass to Stephen Hill. Oh, and a two-point conversion pass to Hill, just to make things interesting. (To be fair, this was, in fact, the very last thing anybody watching, playing, or coaching would’ve expected Nesbitt to attempt, much less pull off). The Jayhawks’ lead is cut to 28-25 with 7:48 remaining in the game.
