Tom Brady and the Patriots started off strong getting up 31-3 at one point against the Bengals. The Bengals staged a short come back scoring two consecutive touchdowns to get within two touchdowns but Brady and the Patriots were too much closing the game out with a 38-24 victory.

Brady had a terrific day completing 25-of-35 passes for 258 yards and three touchdowns. Two of those touchdowns went to Wes Welker, who was returning from knee surgery.
For the Bengals, it was Chad Ochocinco who blew up catching 12 balls for 159 yards and a touchdown. Terrell Owens ended with seven receptions for 53 yards in his Bengals debut.
