Fumble, Fumble, Hallelujah: Quite A Dodge By The Cardinals
↵Midway through the 3rd quarter of the Cardinals-Rams game, quarterback Derek Anderson was stripped near midfield. Rams nose tackle Clifton Ryan scooped up the ball in a manner that usually proves ineffective and began charged toward the end zone. Visions of rare linemen touchdowns doubtlessly lumbered through his lead.
↵Sadly for Clifton and said envisioned gamboling linemen, Cardinals receiver Steve Breaston was there to jar the ball loose just short of the Arizona goal line. The fumble was then recovered in the end zone for an Arizona touchback. It could have been a potential put-away score for the Rams, who proceeded to surrender the lead when Anderson later hit Larry Fitzgerald for a 21-yard touchdown pass.
