Week 1 NFL Scores And Results: Cardinals Fail A Little Less Than The Rams, Win 17-13

No one thought either the Cardinals or Rams would be the best team in the NFC West heading into their season-opening matchup.

No one is thinking that afterward, either.

Arizona beat St. Louis 17-13 in the sort of game neither team would dream of calling pretty. Sam Bradford threw three interceptions in his NFL debut, including two in the fourth quarter. Derek Anderson completed just 22 of 41 passes. The game’s most exciting play was a double fumble.

The NFC West appears slightly above the level of competition in the ACC. That doesn’t mean either of these teams is anywhere near good. But for the Cardinals, it means one win might have already gotten them an eighth of the way to a division title.
