Eagles Reportedly Sign Owen Schmitt To Replace Leonard Weaver

The Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly signed former Seattle Seahawks fullback Owen Schmitt to replace injured Pro Bowler Leonard Weaver, who was placed on injured reserve on Monday after suffering a torn ACL during the season opener against the Packers.

Schmitt played two seasons with the Seahawks, but didn’t survive the last round of roster cuts this preseason. The Eagles have also promoted tight end Garrett Mills to the active roster to replace Jamaal Jackson, who was also placed on injured reserve on Monday.
