Some guys just get all the breaks.
Bob Sanders Has Torn Biceps, Possibly Out For The Season (Again)
Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders is not one of those guys. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Sanders has suffered a torn biceps, an injury that will keep him out indefinitely, and could very well become the latest in a long line of season-ending injuries that have marred an otherwise promising career.
Though the injury was originally thought to be minor, it seems that today’s news confirms everyone’s fears for Sanders. Once again, he’s out for a long time, and you have to think that this could be the final blow in a battle with injuries that has cost fans the chance to enjoy the prime of a guy who, when healthy, was one of the better playmaking safeties in the entire NFL.
Alas, Sanders has never played a full 16-game season in his NFL career, and the severity of the injuries are getting worse, not better. Since winning the league’s defensive player of the year award in 2007, Sanders has played in just 9 games, including multiple stints on the injured reserve.
So, is this the end of the line for Sanders? We’ll have more news as it emerges from Indy.
