Braves’ Fall From NL East Lead Has Fans Reaching Boiling Point

On July 22nd, the Braves beat the Padres 8-0 to move seven games up in the NL East. Since then, they’ve gone 27-25 while the Phillies have gone 36-15, and following their loss Wednesday afternoon, the Braves currently sit 2.5 games out of first place, pending Philadelphia’s game Wednesday night. How are Braves fans taking it?

Not very well, it seems.

At this point, I'd rather just lose the rest of our games than keep this crap up. Lose 2 out of 3 at home against the Nationals? Lose a 7 game lead in the NL East, and now (probably) trail by 3? I really tried to keep the faith. I really did. But I'm done. We have a 10-game road trip coming up, which is arguably our biggest trip in the last 5 years, and we're playing like this. In Bobby Cox's final season. That just blows my mind.

Note that Atlanta still holds the Wild Card lead by a game over San Francisco, and by three games over Colorado.
