Cardinals WR Early Doucet Being Tested For Sports Hernia

The Cardinals are already dealing with Beanie Wells' bruised knee keeping him out of the first and possibly the second game of the season. Now, receiver Early Doucet is believed to have a sports hernia, which would keep him out of action for a few weeks, according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt.

Doucet missed practice again on Wednesday to undergo tests to see if he has a sports hernia. Wells, meanwhile, did individual work on Wednesday and expects to participate more on Thursday and Friday.

Doucet caught two passes for 37 yards in Arizona’s Week 1 victory at St. Louis. If he is unable to go, Stephen Williams would take over as the Cardinals no. 3 receiver.
