ESPN College GameDay’s Sign Of The Day

Let’s take a few steps back. First, there was the classic monologue from Blade Runner that ends with, “time to die.”

Then, there was a text message from Florida wide receiver Chris Rainey to a woman which read, "time to die." Regardless of whether this was an intentional callback to the futuristic Harrison Ford vehicle, he was arrested.

And now, we have this fan sign, which was visible on today’s broadcast of College GameDay:

Timetodyer_medium

“TIME TO DYER” is presumably a reference to Auburn running back Michael Dyer. So!

Michael Dyer was referenced to an incident involving Chris Rainey
Chris Rainey unintentionally or intentionally referenced Blade Runner, starring Rutger Hauer
Rutger Hauer appeared in Batman Begins with Gary Oldman
Gary Oldman appeared in JFK with Kevin Bacon

There was no reason to doubt the theory, but I feel it prudent to test it once in a while.
