Jahvid Best, Michael Vick Putting On A Show In Motown

After scoring two touchdowns but struggling to gain yardage in his NFL debut last week, Lions running back Jahvid Best has officially exploded onto the NFL scene.

↵Best has scoring plays of 14 and 75 yards at halftime in Week 2 action against Philadelphia, and has totaled 170 yards in the first half on just 13 touches. For those of you who like to keep track of such things, Best has an early and definitive lead in the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year race.

↵Unfortunately, Best doesn’t play defense, and Michael Vick’s 186 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 40 rushing touchdowns have the Eagles up 21-17 at the break. Vick, making his first NFL start since 2006, threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to DeSean Jackson to open the scoring, then found Jeremy Maclin for a score just before halftime.
