“When the NBA schedule comes out,” a feature on NBA.com tells us, “all players look to see when games fall that take them home.” They also look to see when they play Miami, Atlanta, New York, and Toronto (apparently) just because those cities are awesome.
Is Greg Monroe Ready To Experience Detroit?
↵Like Greg Monroe. He’s from Louisiana, so New Orleans is his choice:
↵↵“I represent those people down there, as well. I grew up there. That’s my home. Those people look at me as representing them, so being able to go down there and play in front of them is going to be special.”
↵↵As for Monroe’s new home, Detroit, Monroe explains:
↵↵“I know how to get (to The Palace at Auburn Hills), so that’s the most important thing,” he laughed. “Where I live, I know all the eateries and places to shop in that area. I’m trying to expand it and learn how to get to other parts of the city...”
↵↵And not to be the bearer of bad news here, but Detroit’s not New Orleans. Detroit’s not New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Toronto. Detroit’s not even Cleveland.
↵“Other parts of the city”? Outside Auburn Hills... Well, does Greg have a bodyguard?
