The New Orleans Saints are on the road for Monday Night Football and they’re still favored to win by five points against the San Francisco 49ers.
Saints Vs. 49ers: San Francisco Doesn’t Need Moral Victories
It seems that everyone is picking the Saints to win because of that offense and the fact they’re coming off of a big win last week against the Vikings.
SB Nation’s Niners Nation doesn’t pass along a score prediction but writes the Saints aren’t so talented that the 49ers can’t compete with them.
The 49ers CAN compete with and defeat the Saints. And I don’t mean that in the “any team can beat any other team on any given Sunday” kind of way. I mean that in the sense that the 49ers are a talented team. Yes they have question marks on both sides of the ball, but they’re talented enough to defeat a team like the Saints. The Saints might have more talent in certain areas than the 49ers, but I refuse to accept that as an excuse for defeat.
The title of the story is “No Moral Victories”, which is what most in San Francisco are thinking right now. Starting 0-2 and going on the road to face a 2-0 team next week would not be a pleasant scenario for the 49ers so, as Niners Nation writes, they need tangible results against the Saints.
