Photo Of The Day: The Faces Of The National Football League
One of the coolest parts about football is it’s a sport with such sprawling influence that it draws personalities from just about every demographic you could imagine. That’s why the idea of a football team is so awesome; from coaches to owners to linemen to skill players to fans, an NFL team encompasses vastly different personalities, all of whom come together for a common purpose. It’s sort of profound, in that way. And if you think about it, a team is nothing more than a microcosm of a football league, in general.
So with that in mind, how ‘bout a collage of portraits from the NFL’s Week 2? Cool? Cool.
Kyle Vanden Bosch of the Detroit Lions.
Here’s Braylon Edwards’ beard in all its glory. (And before his DUI... Awkwarrrrd)
Marshawn Lynch’s hair.
Owner Jerry Richardson. For context, according to Yahoo! Sports, “At last March’s NFL owners meeting in Orlando, Fla., the Carolina Panthers’ Richardson gave a fiery speech in which he exhorted his peers to “take back our league” by forcing a more favorable deal down the throats of the players.”
A young Broncos fan.
Ben Hamilton of the Seattle Seahawks.
CHEERLEADER.
The ugly side of football, starring Dennis Dixon.
...Not saying he’s not a great player, but for the record, Vernon Davis will be always be better at “looking badass” than playing football.
And finally, a Lambeau Leap, starring Brandon Jackson.
