Jair Jurrjens’ MRI results are back, and they’re confusing to say the least:
Jair Jurrjens Has Small Tear In Meniscus
Jair Jurrjens has a small horizontal meniscus tear. Will likely be able to make his next start. If he can't Beachy will get another start.
Meniscus tears are generally big deals, but if the Braves think Jurrjens will be able to make his next start, either I must be wrong, or the tear must be really, really small.
In filling in for Jurrjens on Monday night, rookie Brandon Beachy allowed three runs, four hits, and three walks over 4.1 innings against the Phillies. His or Jurrjens’ next start will come this weekend against the Nationals.
