The Week 2 NFL player of the week awards for the NFC have come in. The list includes a backup running back, the NFL’s sack-leader and a Super Bowl-winning kicker.
Week 2 NFL Players Of The Week: Jason Snelling, Clay Matthews And Garrett Hartley In The NFC
Offense: Falcons RB Jason Snelling
Snelling won't have an opportunity to win this award very often. He came into the game after starter Michael Turner went down with an injury. The results were impressive: 129 yards rushing, 57 yards receiving and three total touchdowns. This comes after accumulating just seven total yards in week one.

Defense: Packers LB Clay Matthews
Matthews' three-sack performances are becoming the norm. On Sunday against the Bills for the second straight game he got to the quarterback three times bringing hit total to a NFL-leading six sacks.

Special Teams: Saints K Garrett Hartley
Harley accounted for 11 of the Saints 25 points in their Week 2 victory against the 49ers on Monday Night Football. He had a pair of extra points three field goals including the game-winner as time expired.
