The Cowboys will receive a seventh-round pick in the deal for the disgruntled wide receiver.
Report: Cowboys Trade Patrick Crayton To Chargers
Patrick Crayton has seemingly wanted out of Dallas for quite a while after skipping some OTA sessions and all but demanding he be released. Today, he finally got his wish, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the Cowboys have traded Crayton to the Chargers for a seventh-round draft pick in 2011.
For San Diego, the trade gives them a wide receiver they so desperately need with Vincent Jackson holding out. Crayton will probably be the number three receiver behind Malcolm Floyd and Legedu Naanee, but he has the capability of being something more. For Dallas, the trade allows them to get out of the $2 million they owe him for next season, which is a hefty price for a fourth wide receiver.
