VIDEO: No. 15 Pittsburgh’s Field Goal Exhibition To Force Overtime With Utah

If you missed it Thursday night, No. 15 Pittsburgh had a makeshift kicking practice at the end of the game to force a tie with Utah, 24-24. The Panthers kicker, Dan Hutchins, nailed a the 30-yard field goal to force overtime ... but Utah’s head coach Kyle Whittingham had called a timeout to ice him. On the second attempt, Hutchins pushed it left. Party in Salt Lake City! ... only, Whittingham called another timeout. Hutchins then snuck the third kick inside the left upright, and it counted (yes, in college, you can call three timeouts in a row; the Utes still had one left but Whittingham opted not to use it.)

↵Oh, right: Pitt went on to lose in overtime, 27-24.

↵/looks around to make sure opposing editor didn’t call a timeout ... the post stands!
