In his latest blog for NASCAR.com, Norris notes that there are a plethora of young drivers waiting in the wings; but sponsorship is few and far between.
↵It comes down to this: Do companies want to sponsor a recycled veteran or take a chance on the next Jeff Gordon?
↵Norris, whose team hopes young drivers Trevor Bayne and Ryan Truex can be breakout stars, obviously has reason to write such a blog.
↵But he also has a point: Where are the next crop of young stars going to come from if no one will take a chance and sponsor them?
