It’s true. When you think about it, the we use for golf courses could be used for just about anything, and it’d be more productive.
Karl Malone Says... ‘Golf Is A Waste Of Pasture Land’
As Malone elaborates in a bygone issue of Hoop Magazine:
I look at a golf course and all I see is how it would have been much better off as wilderness, where people could hunt, and fish, and enjoy the outdoors like I do.
You see, by building golf courses all over the country, Karl Malone says we’re shortchanging the natural beauty of the outdoors. We’re exploiting nature for our own self-indulgent pursuits. If we could all hunt and fish instead, then clearly, the world would be better off.
Why am I talking about a years-old treatise on golf from a retired NBA player? For one, because the accompanying picture is absolutely spectacular. And also... “Karl Malone Says”.
