DeAndre Jordan is not among the top-tier free agent big men in this year's class of players that could move teams via the open market, but the Los Angeles Clippers center will likely garner plenty of interest prior to being able to officially sign a contract on Dec. 9. The Clippers are eligible to match any offer from another NBA club due to Jordan's status as a restricted free agent, but that will likely only increase his asking price.

DeAndre Jordan is a restricted free agent of the Los Angeles Clippers, but his current team will probably have to match a couple of offer sheets if they want to keep the center on their roster.
Jordan is still pretty raw as far as his basketball abilities are concerned as his only real offensive move is what’s known as a “dunk,” but the left-handed big man is nearly seven feet tall and has what looks to be the upside that might make him worth an offer during the lockout-shortened offseason.
The Golden State Warriors are one team that seems to be interested in sending a contract offer to Jordan. SB Nation's Tom Ziller suggests that it would be quite difficult to actually overpay for Jordan in his look at the best NBA free agents.
Jordan is almost a lock to get a contract offer that a chorus of fans and writers will call too much, only to live up to it over the next four years because big men who have the tools to defend and know not to shoot 15-footers if they can’t make them are hard to come by. (Four years, $36-40 million seems like the obvious offer to come.) Jordan averaged a whopping 4.3 field goal attempts per game last season, most on putbacks or alley-oops. As a result, he shot nearly 70 percent. He’s like an even more shy version of Chandler on offense.
Jordan might not look like he’s worth whatever he’s offered right now, but as Ziller notes, he might be by the time that contract is complete. And, as Ridiculous Upside’s motto reads, potential is way cooler than reality.
