The NCAA Tournament’s new format makes its debut on Tuesday night, as 2011 March Madness officially tips off with the first two games of the new First Four round (also known simple as the “first round” just to create more confusion).
NCAA Tournament 2011 First Four: Time, TV Info For Tuesday’s Games
The early game features two mid-major conference tournament champions with No. 16 UNC-Asheville (Big South) going against No. 16 Arkansas-Little Rock (Sun Belt) at 6:40 p.m. ET. The winner moves on to face No. 1 Pittsburgh in the second round. The second game pits two at-large teams with No. 12 Clemson (ACC) taking on No. 12 UAB (Conference USA), two teams that barely -- and controversially -- landed on the right side of the bubble. The winner advances to play No. 6 West Virginia. Both games are on truTV. (More info about where to find truTV.)
