NCAA Tournament Update: Gonzaga Dominating St. John’s At Halftime

St. John’s may be the higher seed in this 2011 NCAA Tournament game, but Gonzaga sure looks like the better team. The No. 11-seeded Bulldogs have maintained a solid lead against the No. 6-seeded Red Storm, and lead 43-32 at halftime.

Gonzaga has been able to get whatever it has wanted against the St. John's defense. The Bulldogs are shooting 58 percent from the field, have hit four of seven from downtown and have also shot 11 free throws, making nine. Steven Gray has 10 points to lead the Bulldogs, but everyone is getting in on the act.

St. John's is not playing poorly offensively, but they need to pick up the defense. Paris Horne has 10 points to lead the Red Storm, who desperately miss D.J. Kennedy in this one.

For more on this game, St. John’s fans should visit Rumble in the Garden, while Gonzaga fans should visit The Slipper Still Fits.
