NCAA Tournament Update: Michigan Leads Tennessee 33-29 At Halftime

The Michigan Wolverines nearly missed the tournament entirely, but after the first half against the University of Tennessee, Michigan looks primed to advance. Behind a balanced attack from Darius Morris, Matt Vogrich, and Zach Novak, the eighth-seeded Wolverines entered halftime up four points on Tennessee.

Considering the relatively quiet first half for their best scorer of all, Tim Haradaway Jr., a lead at halftime bodes well for the Wolverines. As for Tennessee, we’ve been waiting to see how they’d respond given all the controversy surrounding Bruce Pearl over the course of the past week, and so far, it looks like the only statement from the Vols is coming from Tobias Harris.

He leads Tennessee with 19 points in the first half, and were it not for his contributions, this eight-nine game would a be whole lot more one-sided. As it is, Michigan has the advantage, but thanks to Harris, the Vols are still in great shape to make a run in the second half. And in that case, it should be a good one, so check back for more updates as the action unfolds.
