It’s not like you expected Kemba Walker to stop scoring, right? Walker has 12 points for Connecticut through halftime in the West Regional final against Arizona, and his last three, a dagger with the shot clock dwindling, put the Huskies up 32-25 at halftime.
Arizona Vs. UConn, Halftime Score: Kemba Walker Has Huskies Up 32-25
UConn’s offense is almost entirely backcourt-based: Walker, Jeremy Lamb, and Shabazz Napier have 26 of the Huskies’ 26 points.
Arizona has to be pleased with that sort of interior defense, especially with Derrick Williams struggling with foul trouble all half. The Wildcats star has three fouls at halftime, meaning that he will either need to play smartly or be played sparingly if he is to be as good as possible in the second half.
Williams and Lamont “MoMo” Jones have six points each to pace the Wildcats.
