Arizona has begun to rally in this Elite Eight game against UConn. The Wildcats have scored the last six points and trail by just three early in the second half.
Arizona Vs. UConn Score: Wildcats Rally, Cut Huskies Lead To Three Points
After a UConn bucket, Arizona scored six straight points to cut the lead down to 34-31 with 17:16 left, leading to a timeout by Jim Calhoun. Arizona got a layup by Jesse Perry, then after a Connecticut miss, Derrick Williams made a beautiful pass from the left side to Solomon Hill for a dunk. After another Connecticut miss, Perry camped in the lane and took a pass from Williams for a layup.
On the ensuing possession, Jeremy Lamb missed a stepback jumper, but Connecticut chased down the offensive rebound. However, Arizona trapped Kemba Walker, forcing a long three that missed. Derrick Williams snared the rebound with two men on him, and the Wildcats went off the other way. Williams then forced a foul by getting deep post position in the lane.
