Kentucky may be young. But these Wildcats have plenty of talent, and that has helped them race back in the second half of their Final Four game against UConn.
Final Four 2011, UConn Vs. Kentucky Score: Wildcats Claw Back, Kemba Walker Heats Up In Second Half
With their miserable final stretch of the first half behind them, the Wildcats have been red-hot in the second period, hitting three threes in a 14-2 run coming out of halftime and playing tough since to secure a 39-38 lead at the under-12 minute timeout.
But Kemba Walker isn’t about to let the Wildcats lap his Huskies. Walker’s got five of UConn’s six points in the second half, and a spectacular block in transition on Doron Lamb.
Walker has 14 points to lead all scorers, and has added six assists in keying UConn’s offense.
