The Huskies and Wildcats have settled into a back-and-forth rhythm in the second half after an early Kentucky run, and that’s made for an enjoyable period of play that sees UConn up 52-48 with under three minutes to go in the second period.
Kemba Walker, as usual, is leading UConn. The diminutive dynamo has 18 points to lead all scorers, and has added seven rebounds and seven assists for the game’s best line.
Shabazz Napier had one eventful sequence, flopping for a foul on Darius Miller, then getting hit in the groin by Brandon Knight heading into a timeout.
Meanwhile, Terrence Jones has been Kentucky’s workhorse, netting 11 points and 13 rebounds.
