Texas A&M snatch the lead back from Notre Dame, thanks in large part to Danielle Adams. The Aggies All-American hit the game-tying free throws before putting the Aggies in front with a basket in the paint. Notre Dame’s struggles continued on the offensive end, with buckets few and far between. But the Irish did get to the free throw line, and are already in the bonus with just seven minutes gone in the half.
Women’s NCAA Basketball Championship Score: Danielle Adams Taking Over For Texas A&M
Natalie Novosel tied the game back up at 50 with two free throws for Notre Dame after drawing contact on the inbounds pass. Notre Dame used its swarming defense to force a turnover and take the lead after missing the initial lay-in.
But once again, Danielle Adams answered, rolling to the bucket for an and-one. Adams, who is 96 percent from the free throw line for the tournament, uncharacteristically missed from the line, leaving the score tied at 52 with just under 12 minutes to go.
